3 Ways to Teach AI to Write Emails like Teacherpreneurs
Are you tired of spending hours writing emails? And when you try to use ChatGPT to speed things up, you end up sounding like Siri?
Are you sending emails to your subscribers without getting clicks or replies? Teacherprenuers don’t have time to waste on writing emails that don't convert.
But what if you could cut writing time (…or at least save brain power?) You could use more brain power left over each day.
You can teach AI to write fun emails that convert.
How?
Use a Sample Email to Train ChatGPT on Your Voice
Copy and paste an email you already wrote into ChatGPT.
Ask your ChatGPT VA to analyze that email for tone, word choice, and style.
It will analyze your writing and describe the writing style. Then ask it to write an email in the same style on your new topic. It will sound like you, which is a bit mind blowing.
Then go back through the email and improve it. Sure, it sounds a lot like you. But you want to make sure to delete anything that sounds generic like:
Hey teacher friend
Are you ready for…?
As teachers we…
Being specific is key to establishing your brand, voice, and becoming an authority for your audience. And it helps your email not sound like Siri wrote it.
And are you wondering why this is done in steps? Because right now, it will get you the best output. It can sound too generic or made up when done all at once.
But are you new to email writing? Or don't have a lot of emails already written? This next way is for you.
Teach ChatGPT Write Like You…Step by Step
Start with a subject line. A very boring, dry subject line. Ask your ChatGPT VA to write 10 variations of that subject line. If you don’t like those. Ask it to rewrite them humorously. Or with more curiosity. Or give it a specific benefit to include.
Now you have a subject line. Next, ask your ChatGPT VA to write a sales email, or a teaching strategy email, or an informational email about your subject line.
Don’t expect it to come out perfect. It’s a rough draft. When it comes out, either rewrite portions yourself, or have it rewrite sections that are “off”.
Once you are mostly happy with it, edit it ruthlessly. That’s one issue I always have using ChatGPT as a Virtual Assistant. It uses too many words and that will lower your conversion rate.
So cut out extra words and add in specificity.
Then ask it to make your draft a little more…
Give ChatGPT Your First Draft and Ask It To Make It More...
Ask ChatGPT to rewrite your first draft. In a more encouraging tone. Or ask it if the tone is condescending. (That can happen in teacherpreneur emails and blogs easily.)
Ask it to analyze the tone and once it gives you the analysis, ask it to change the tone you don’t like.
You can ask it to rewrite it in the tone of a former president or famous character, but that could be an ethical gray area. Remember, we are here to use this as a tool for good to move your business forward.
And teachers want to read and learn from your tone. Not Beyonce’s.
The Key is You Must Teach AI
When you give AI an email you already wrote, teach AI to write like you, or even ask AI to make your first draft more on tone, you can streamline your email writing process.
It's important to remember that AI is a tool.
It's not a replacement for your own creativity and or voice. You must add your touch to your emails. Otherwise they'll just keep looking until they find someone they do resonate with.
Try using AI or ChatGPT to help you write in your business. They'll not only speed your workslow, but also help you achieve TPTverse domination. Or at least, a more successful business.
